Mikayla is an appellate attorney with experience in both civil and criminal matters. Above all else, Mikayla values legal writing that is clear, concise, and compelling.

After graduating fifth in her law school class, Mikayla completed two clerkships at the Utah Supreme Court and practiced as a civil litigator for a regional law firm in Salt Lake City. Before joining The Appellate Group, Mikayla was a professor at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where she taught upper-division legal writing and ethics courses.

Mikayla enjoys yoga, fiction, and bowls of pasta without protein.
