State v. Wall

State v. Wall, 2025 UT App 25 (Luthy, J.)

Criminal

The Utah Court of Appeals held

  • The district court did not abuse its discretion in refusing to allow Defendant to ask a question that appeared to telegraph the defense’s theory of the case to members of the jury.
  • The district court did not err in holding that the prosecutor’s statement that she “had no reason to misconstrue details” was a fair reply to defense counsel’s charge that the prosecutor was working for a conviction.
